The first season of Solsidan, a Swedish television comedy series, created by comedian and actor Felix Herngren, Jacob Seth Fransson, Ulf Kvensler and Pontus Edgren premiered on January 29, on TV4[1] and ended on April 9, The series is about Alex (Felix Herngren) and Anna (Mia Skäringer), a couple expecting their first child and planning to move to where Alex grew up, the posh neighbourhood of Solsidan,[2] the name of which means "The Sunny Side". The show has been sold internationally and will be aired in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.[3] On December 3, , the producers announced that the script to the series had been sold to the American network ABC, which plans to create their own version of the series to air in the United States.[4]

Solsidan (lit. "The Sunny Side") is a Swedishtelevision comedy series that premiered on 29 January on TV4.[1] The series is named after a small part of Saltsjöbaden called Solsidan.[2] It revolves around Alex (Felix Herngren) and Anna (Mia Skäringer) who are expecting their first child together and have just moved to Alex's childhood home in Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County.[3] Alex tries to get Anna to enjoy herself, and at the same time spend time with his childhood friend Fredde (Johan Rheborg).[1] Ten episodes were scheduled to air in the first season.[4] A second ten-episode season premiered on 16 January

Alex Löfström (Felix Herngren) is a year-old dentist who moves back to his childhood home in posh Saltsjöbaden with his girlfriend Anna Svensson (Mia Skäringer). They are expecting their first child. Anna works as an actress and feels alienated in Alex's hometown. She does everything she can to fit in.     Serien handlar om Alex (Felix Herngren) och Anna (Mia Skäringer) som inom första säsongen väntar sitt första ungar och noggrann har flyttat till Alex barndomshem inom Solsidan, Saltsjöbaden.[2] Alex försöker få Anna att trivas samtidigt likt de umgås med Alex gamla ungdomsvän Fredde (Johan Rheborg) samt hans fru Mickan (Josephine Bornebusch).[1]

    En andra säsong började sändas söndagen 16 januari Den ägde premiär inom Finland vid Yle Fem och vid TV4 Play Premium redan den 14 januari Programmet har även sålts internationellt och äger sänts inom Norge, land i norden, Danmark samt Belgien.[3]

    Första avsnittet av den andra säsongen sågs från 2&#;&#; person som tittar i land. Det existerar det högsta tittarantalet TV4 haft vid tio tid, bortsett ifrån två del av Let's Dance såsom kom upp i identisk nivå.[4]
