Atelier: A French bistro in Gothenburg
The last culinary discovery of this trip to Gothenburg is the Atelier restaurant. This is the restaurant of the Pigalle Hotel, a boutique hotel whose name already suggests the tone of the restaurant.

Atelier: the concept
As its name suggests, as much as the hotel it&#;s housed in, Atelier is a restaurant that boasts a French style and inspiration, and more specifically is inspired by the world of bistros.
While it has the convivial atmosphere you&#;d expect from a bistro, the slightly more elaborate style and simple yet sophisticated menu make it not a traditional bistro as we understand it in France, but a slightly more upmarket property.
We can&#;t help thinking that its name also refers to Joël Robuchon&#;s almost eponymous chain, with which it shares, in our opinion, only one resemblance, which we&#;ll talk about later.
The setting
Banquettes that you sink into but not too much, wood, floral fabrics, frames all over the walls&#;it&#;s a far cry from the simplicity of a bistro. It&#;s warm, but very heavy!

Between Jan 6 – Mar 31, Bistro Atelier will be closed for dinner on Sundays and Mondays. Instead, a smaller à la carte menu will be served in Bar Amuse.

At the unique and fantastic Hotel Pigalle you find the French bistro-style Restaurant Atelier. Open indoors year-round, and during the warmer months also offering a charming rooftop terrace.
Lush and beautiful in decoration, the Hotel Pigalle rooftop might not offer the best view funnen in Gothenburg, but this is more than made up for with atmosphere and setting. And sunshine from morning to evening.
Equipped with stylish dining tables and comfy lounge sofas, the Atelier rootop dryckesställe menu includes everything from crafted summer cocktails to bistro style dishes.
Usually open from morning to late at night, you can visit Atelier rootop for a sunny and relaxing breakfast or lunch, but it fryst vatten during summer evenings that the venue is really buzzing. A cuople of nights a week the terrace usually host summer clubs, with live DJs and various artists.
