During these two weeks you will meet vikings who will show you around the by and tell you about houses, runestones, travelling, handicraft, religion and much more. You can also buy some food and try your grabb at archery as well as watch the vikings doing handicraft or demonstrate how to make a fire.
Entrance fee: Adults (age ) SKR. Children age and senior citizens 80 SKR. Children age no entrance fee.

This week there are a few vikings at the village ready to show you around the surroundings and tell you more about the houses, the runestones, how to man iron and other things. You can also try some games .

På vikingagården reser Ni över tusen år tillbaka i tiden och får träffar vikingar som berättar om livet på gården och visar hantverk och lekar. Här finns bland annat runsten och kultplats samt flera vikingatida hus, som till exempel smedja, fähus, kokhus och det ståtliga långhuset.
Ni kan som familj gå på en guidad tur runt vikingagården och dess hus. Det berättas om allt från vardagsliv och högtider till hantverk, gravskick, kläder, mat och mytologi. Ni kan även välja att gå på guidad tur i Sörbygravfältet som är Gästriklands största vikingatida gravfält med ca 90 bevarade gravar. Lär er mer om gravskick och utgrävningar som gjorts på området samt tro, vardagsliv och den viktiga järnframställningen.

At Årsunda, you can visit the Viking Farm Årsjögård. Here you are in the middle of the Land of Iron, in the heart of the province of Gästrikland. You will experience cultural history in an exciting, informative and living way. The Viking Farm offers a variety of activities where theory and practice are mixed in a pedagogic way to stimulate all senses.
The Årsunda Viking project was initiated by the city of Sandviken in as an act to create job opportunities in Årsunda with the aim to create a tourist attraction.
The project has three cornerstones that complement each other:
- A full-scale reconstruction of a Viking Age farm with animals, gardenings etc.
- Preservation of ancient monuments in Årsunda.
- The Viking Expo - a building with Gästrikland´s Viking Age as a theme.
At first, an exhibition was created in a small hall in central Årsunda, then plans were made for a real museum. Those plans came to life in the Summer of , when the Viking Museum was inaugurated.
