Oxford Street började förvandlas till shoppinggata i slutet av talet och beneath tidigt anförande öppnade klassiska varuhus samt butiker likt Selfridges, John Lewis samt HMV.

Du hittar ett hel sektion välkända butiker som H&M, Zara, Topshop, The Body Shop samt Foot Locker, men detta som utför shoppingen ytterligare rolig existerar att gatan även bjuder på butiker och märken som ej är därför vanliga inom Sverige.
